Most Gen Xers were raised in nonreligious homes by Boomer parents who’d disaffiliated from the spirituality of their youth. Some Gen Xers are now casting about for spiritual or religious guidance, but they’ll tend to do it on their own terms. The minority who were raised in religious environments will tend to stay loyal to those beliefs.
