Hamsa

The ancient Middle Eastern symbol used by monotheistic faiths predates Islam, Christianity and Judaism. Hamsa is known as the hand of Fatima for Muslims and the hand of Miriam for Jews. Christians, have historically recognized it as a bearer of good fortune. A universal symbol of protection, the Hand represents blessings, power and strength. In the Islamic tradition it represents particularly the hand of God, divine power, providence and generosity.
